About Alphacon

PrimX industrial floors are well recognized and proven globally — and taking off in North America. These floors have ushered in a seismic shift in concrete, making traditional concrete a less desirable choice for commercial and industrial facilities. Important scientific breakthroughs have changed the engineering of concrete and enabled the development of this unique composite material that transforms how industrial floors perform. Alphacon is proud to be a licensed partner of PrimX providing this new flooring technology to Western Canada.

Only the Best

Eco Friendly Construction

When it comes to sustainability flooring, PrīmX is far superior to traditional concrete. Cement production is responsible for 5 percent of global CO2 emissions, second only to aviation. PrīmX is a composite that enhances green construction initiatives because it requires less material to achieve load-bearing strength — producing up to 50 percent fewer CO2 emissions than traditional concrete. It eliminates hazardous silica dust from joint sawing and can help earn LEED credits. It’s both the economical and eco-friendly choice.

Jointless Floor Technology

Joints in concrete floors are rough on machinery, employees’ backs and can harbor contaminants that can taint product. There are no joints in a daily pour of PrīmX floors—eliminating a mile or more of joints per typical placement. Construction joints remain tight unlike other extended joint systems, there are no dominant joints on a PrīmX floor.

Flat and Frictionless for Automation

Automation is the future of warehousing, industrial and manufacturing operations. With a smooth, flat PrīmX floor, robotic, driverless forklifts can navigate the space with no disturbance from curled joints and open cracks. Productivity and facility flexibility is increased, maintenance and downtime is decreased.

Less Maintenance, Longer Floor Life

Most traditional concrete floors require costly maintenance and repairs to fix curling at miles of joints. Machinery subjected to concrete floors with joints take daily abuse and require higher maintenance costs. With PrīmX, those issues disappear because the floors don’t shrink, curl, and are virtually crack-free. Plus, they can be cleaned using the same process used to clean traditional concrete floors.

Safer Workforce, Better Bottom Line

According to OSHA, approximately 95,000 U.S. workers in warehouse environments are injured every year while operating forklifts. Back injuries, often developed from repeated strain while driving machinery over joints thousands of times everyday on traditional concrete floors, are the leading injury type. PrīmX floors eliminate this issue and provide a safer, more efficient work environment.
